The George Corner
At Christmas, I bought a bottle of Iron Gall ink from Cornelissen's.
It is very thin and no where near as black as Indian. It has a wonderful smell, rather like red wine and it doesn't blot! Well not for me it didn't. Other advantages are that it dries pretty quickly, and the very fine lines you get when the nib is running dry, look like pencil. And it is "made to an ancient recipe". I think it's magic. But not waterproof.
